The conflict in Darfur was (and still is) raging back in July of ‘06. We wanted to draw awareness to the genocide that was going on, as many people were oblivious to the situation. Bringing together a dynamic line-up of talent featuring Talor McFerrin, Philadelphia Slick, Subliminal Orphans, and performance artist Joshua Mays, we coordinated a concert at World Cafe Live on July 7th, 2006 promoting the message that the killing in Darfur must end.

It was a sell-out show, and we had a member from the Darfur Alert Coalition come to speak about the conflict to drive the message home.
