Last Minute Concert at World Cafe Live

Sometimes in the talent buying business, you have agents or artists bail on a date they booked at your venue, leaving an empty night on the calendar. World Cafe Live was in one of these unfortunate situations in June of 2007, on a Friday night at that, and gave us a call to see if we could book a talent line-up and handle the promotion for an event on just two week’s notice.

 

Always up for a challenge, we called on some artists around Philadelphia that we knew would not only put on a great show, but bring the fans out as well. We assembled an all-star crew of Philly’s best hip-hop artists, break dancing crews, painters, and instrumentalists to collaborate on a jam session-meets-open mic set of performances. We designed and printed flyers and posters for the show within two days of solidifying the talent line-up, had our field marketing team cover the city with the materials, and had our digital team infiltrate the web to get the word out quick. The event went over tremendously with World Cafe Live, and the artists had a full house of enthusiastic fans to perform for.

 

Downtown Harvest CD Release

ABC’s Channel 6 Action News called Downtown Harvest “a personal local favorite whose innovative, eclectic sound is making an impact throughout the region,” and they’ve expanded to make an impact across the country recently. When it came time to throw a release event for their new CD “Golden Dragon,” the band’s manager came to us to help book the venue, coordinate the talent line-up, and make sure the show was well-attended by the right crowd.

 

After securing World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, the band’s venue of choice, we coordinated a field and web promotional push starting one month prior to the event. There were flyers for the show handed out at targeted events and distributed in every retail, lifestyle, and college hot spot around the city, and we put posters up everywhere you looked. Online we infected websites, forums, blogs, and social networks to create the buzz the event and band needed to make the CD release a hit. The show was amazing, and Downtown Harvest was thrilled with the success of their big night.

Go Eagles! Comcast Post-Game Live Promotion

Eagles fans are notorious for their tail-gating shenanigans, so Comcast SportsNet wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to promote their Post-Game Live show before the games last season. Partnering with Goodeye Studios, we developed a plan for distributing free give-aways promoting Post-Game Live to Eagles fans at the stadium before home games, as well as at popular sports bars throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey before away games.

 

The reaction was tremendous, and the fans loved getting the free shirts, drink holders, posters, and beads that promoted Comcast SportsNet and its Post-Game Live show. This promotion ran successfully through the 2006-2007 football season, and we’re slated to run a similar campaign again this season.
